According to the UGC regulation 2009 ragging is a criminal offense and by the guidelines of UGC Ragging is banned anywhere in and out of the campus. If anyone found involved in ragging and guilty of it has to be punished by the law. Creating awareness among students about the punishment for ragging As per government rule online Anti-ragging affidavit to be filled in by students with undertaking from parents.
Anti-Ragging Committee ensures the ragging free campus. The core objectives of the cell are:
Prevent and protect the student community from being ragged or indulging in the act of ragging
Create awareness of ragging and its punishment.
Complaint register , box and postal system is equipped in the campus along with CCTV monitoring .
Withholding/ Withdrawing Scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits.
Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc.
Suspension / expulsion from the studies.
The victim will be given proper counseling
Regular meeting will be arranged to observe ragging free campus.
Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level shall be any one or any combination of the following:-
Cancellation of admission.
Debarring from appearing in any examination.
