Human Resource Development Cell is established in our college to create a culture of teaching excellence from the year 2006. The purpose of this cell is also to implement procedural transparency with all the staff members associated with Sri Ganesh college of Arts & Science, Salem. This policy is applicable on all the teaching and non-teaching staff members. The Institute is committed to create a sustainable workforce of highly qualified faculty and staff, to provide a positive environment of work for all and one that encourages balancing work and personal commitments.

CODE OF ETHICS

The objective of this document is to lay down policies that shall govern the management of personnel involved at teaching, and administrative levels. This policy covers the terms of appointment, code of conduct, Employee benefits, Employee empowerment, Employee retention and employee replacement.

Recruitment Policy

The recruitment and selection concerning vacant positions in Teaching and Non-Teaching departments will be based on equal opportunities to all and merit.

The College will explore traditional sources such as newspaper advertisements, other sources such as electronic media and the internet will be explored for finding out the best talent available.

A Selection Committee in accordance with the University norms will be constituted to select the candidates for faculty positions. The Selection Committee will consist of Principal of the College & Head of the concerned department/ Subject experts.

Selection for non-teaching positions will be made by a Committee consist of Principal & Administrative Departments.

The selected candidates will be given few days of induction programmes as introductory to the field.

Attendance

Online Bio-Metric Attendance is mandatory to all staff members.

A staff of the College shall be eligible for 12days of casual leave for domestic and private affairs in each calendar year.

Provisions/Guidelines to the Faculty

Every eligible employee will have an equal opportunity of participating in various Training and Development initiatives of the College.

Each and every employee in the institute has some responsibilities and the employee should carry all the tasks assigned to him with the full of his ability,

OD/CL will be granted for pursuing continuing education programmes and act as examiners of various position appointed by the university .

Financial assistance for the publishing of research papers and attending conferences shall be provided to the faculty.

The College accords top priority to developing the skills of its employees.

The grades shall be revised from time to time as per university and management norms.

Staff members are eligible for the prescribed increment after the completion of a year service in the college as decided by the management.

The Management provides free transport facilities to all the staff members.

The staff members can avail interest-free loan for a period of time.

All promotions shall be considered based on merit-cum-seniority basis.

Termination/ Resignation

Resignation of any faculty or staff member will not be accepted during a semester period. if ,the staff member wish to get relieve during the semester, has to produce 3 months notices to the management or has to accept the decision of the management.

The appointment of the faculty is on purely temporary basis for one year. it is the management decision to extend their appointment on the ground of their merits.

The Management reserves the right to terminate the service of any faculty and staff who underperform in his/her duties.
